Work, no. I donate my time if I DJ for BLUF. I drive a 300 mile round trip at my expense and give 6 hours 'work' if you want to call it that for nothing for the community spirit that is BLUF, and if somebody asked me to do that at another venue for a BLUF party then I would consider it too.

I am trying to collate pics taken as there are some on Flickr. but it is early days yet, and many of the pics wont be uploaded... or if my gut is hanging over my leathers... wont be photoshoped yet...

I dont know if they are suitable for BLUF website as although in leather, few were in BLUF uniform or even full leathers on the march.. leather jeans and a singlet, or leather shorts and waistcoat apart from the hooded slave boys in rubber leather mix.

I dont think it was too hot for leather breaches and shirts with the occaisional use of a muir cap but as BLUF wasn't the theme due to lack of interest, I too dressed for comfort in leather bondage shorts and a waistcoat.. however it wasnt so comfortable when we lost the keys to my shorts and having a pee became therefore impossible til returning home some 7 hours later!!

It is great you are happy to donate your free time on a weekend evening to DJ for BLUF.

as to other venues, as far as I am aware the only other BLUF venue is The Hoist. I am sure you can find a link to contact them...

however, I think that all other venues employ professional DJs on a contract... and do not permit freely donated labour. Certainly that would be the case on a Friday or Saturday night. They would also employ glass collectors, glass washers, sufficient bar staff and outside security as well as cleaning staff to prepare the venue and assure that facilities are kept clean throughout the night. XXL that runs leather parties and RECON parties also supply car park staff and an inside drugs / paramedic patrol.

I did once make a prelininary approach to XXL about having a BLUF party in the far arch which also has outside space, but BLUF organisers didnt seem keen and XXL would likely only have done it as a personal favour, so I dropped the idea. But there was a secondry DJ set up in that arch, so a BLUF DJ would have been a possibility there... as I am not sure who owns the equipment in that arch.. but it is no more complicated than the set-up at Backstreet.
