Just going by new member 2723, presumed you approved it.

Well, actually it was the uniform pics that got him membership.

By the time all the other bits of his gear in that picture have been photoshopped out, there's not much of it left. Yes, it's a borderline image, and there have always been some of those.

Well done spotting the brand, though. I didn't have a clue what that meant; not up on labels at all.

I had to be nosey and have a look at member 2723 (Cadet Leather) - and I'm sure I wasn't the only one! - and agree that the first photograph does rather contradict the rules of BLUF (as I understand them) but the subsequent photographs are quite acceptable. How easy would it be to drop the top photo into 4th position?

I can drop it down with a bit of fiddling - they appear in the order I upload them, which is usually alphabetical by file name, as they land on my desktop. I'll drop him an email and see if he minds losing it completely.

As a general rule, i'm a bit more inclined to leniency with younger members than I am with older ones who a) can probably afford more gear and b) should probably know better.

I went and looked at it too. The baseball cap is bad, but it appears to me he took the photos himself and was probably not in any position to have someone take a better photo of him, and considering what he is wearing , how many people would be open to taking a picture of that uniform? At least he figured it out who he is at a younger age than I ever did. This place may be a good learning experience for him.
