I agree that it was a good idea from BRIGHTONBOSS to include an exclusive application on FaceBook for BLUF members. I imagine there must be well over 100 members by now.
The only problem I have with FaceBook is that I keep getting bombarded with guys wanting me to be their friend, suck their lollipops and eat their trifles - hmmm! However, I can handle being sent invites to hot leathermen and hot rubbermen!! lol
So the reason I mention it here is I wondered whether there was a similar theme which the BLUF website could use - a way in which BLUF members could communicate with other BLUF members with, for example: I like your profile and the reply can be THANKS or IGNORE - a good way for BLUF members to communicate with each other? Another example might be where a BLUF member wants to share his photos and other BLUF members can share their photos as well to form an application and other members allowed to join. I probably haven't made myself very clear but anyone familiar with FB should know what I am trying to say.
It really is just an idea but I guess messaging between members goes a long way to achieving a similar goal.

I can understand why they have these things on Facebook, where just about anyone can find out and look at your profile, and they may not actually be a leather pervert. And I may, perhaps, consider something like the 'footprints' system GayRomeo has, when all the other changes to the web site have been done.

But I'm not convinced of the need to add a photo sharing type of option on BLUF, because we are all, after all, there because of our love of leather. As it is, people don't like profiles with obscured face photos, or with little information.

By introducing an option to choose with which members you share some information, particularly photographs, you would I fear create a situation in which some members would have very few photos available to other members at all, making the problem of 'faceless' profiles even worse.

Personally, I feel that if you have taken the step of joining BLUF, then you should accept that all the photos you submit to the site will be for all members to look at, and not just that subset that you deem worthy.

You can opt out of almost anything on facebook, decide who sees what and decline using applications etc.
What I like about it is you can get to see the 'other side 'of Bluf members thus opening up an oppurtunities to engage about other common interests.
This might help ,when meeting up for the first time, at a Bluf meet. Its also obvious that many log into Facebook on a daily basis, sometimes via a mobile phone or on a pc while at work, so you have a seamless constant contact rather than an event based one. We all know we lead 'double lives' and Facebook and other social websites allows Bluf members to have an informal chat about something else other than role play sex! lol
Saying that, I do know at Bluf meets, the topics of conversation are often about everyday things:)
