First leather tie

As the subject states, I am planning to buy my first leather tie. As such, I wondered what were the opinion of the BLUF members regarding the width of their ties. Should I get a 2.5" or a 3.5" tie?

Any response to help me achieve the BLUF look would be appreciated.

I personally bought a 2 1/2 " tie a few months ago. I thought it looked a bit more formal than the 1.5" tie. Thinking about trying the 3.5" tie next.

I'd say there's probably no hard and fast answer. How wide are you? ;-)

That surely has some bearing on it.

I would say I'm made on a rather small frame... At least, everything that is normally "Small" fits me. As for exact body mesurements, I don't know them as of yet.
