If you didn't get this, then you probably need to check the email address on your BLUF profile, to make sure it's correct.

There will be one more newsletter sent to all members, when the new site is launched, letting people know it's happened, with a few bits of additional info. My plan is to send a newsletter every three months, to keep people up to date; I appreciate some people don't even want that much information, and on the site you will be able to opt out of newsletters too, receiving only urgent messages.

The reason that's not offered on the present site is a) it's one more thing to code, b) sending the newsletter to all members helps us track rejecting email addresses and c) people will still need to know when the new site launches.

Nigel.

I think it is a good idea to send news letters to all BLUF members - as you say, it helps to track active e-mail addresses - and if members are loyal to BLUF, why should they not want to know what is happening with the website? I'm all for news letters and look forward to receiving them (including the weekly bulletins which arrive via e-mail Monday morning) so as to keep up to date with the news. Hmm, I think I've said this before on another string but then if it is worth saying, then it's worth repeating!
Good luck with the new improved BLUF website - I shall look forward to seeing how it looks!

Well, it's coming along nicely - only a little more work and it'll have essentially all the functionality we have on the present site, at which point I may ask a few more people to play around and see what they think.

There will probably be some tweaking of things like colours, and all the text will need translating too. So far, though, I'm fairly pleased with progress; I may post some preliminary screenshots at the weekend.

Nigel.
