One thing that's been suggested for BLUF is a list of what people are into. If I were to add such a list, what needs to be on it? I've come up with a preliminary list, but comment are addition - are there obvious things that I've missed out, or things that I've included that could be amalgamated into one, without losing too much meaning?

The list is strictly fetish/sex activities, rather than clothing (leather/rubber/skinhead etc), in no particular order

As much as it hurts me to suggest this, having been a brutal victim of what I call a criminal activity, I have been contacted, on RECON, by a number of leather guys wanting to be a victim of rape! I know there have been recorded cases where the victim, in answer to the punishment felt, goes out and commits the exact same crime but it is something I never could do after all the mental and physical damage that was done to me all these years past.
So, in answer to the question have you missed anything from the list, I feel reluctant to suggest:
kidnap, rape.
Of course, I would hope you would not include these but I know there are guys who fantasize over being kidnapped and then raped...so....

I think those can perhaps both be swept under the carpet of 'roleplay'

It's not, after all, rape if there's consent, nor is it really kidnap, unless you're truly held against your will. In terms of BDSM play, I think they both come under the "consensual non-consent" type of thing.

That is very different from real, brutal criminal acts. I agree it's a little disturbing when some people seem to find it hard to make the distinction.

A little more explanation of this, now that I've coded the stuff that lets you add them to your profile...

As many will have noticed when browsing the site, there are profiles in a variety of languages, and certainly the response from German member to the availability of translation has been very positive, with a lot of them opting to see the site in their own language.

Tags are an extension of that; people can write whatever they want on their profile, but there's no guarantee other members will understand it. When you edit your profile on the new site, you'll have the option (no one's forcing you to do it) of adding tags to your profile. You'll see a list of them, and you just click the ones you want to use.

Because they're stored in the database, and there are specific choices, that means we can display them to users in their own language. So, even if you don't know what 'zigarrenraucher' in a German language profile means, for example, you'll be able to see from the tags that the member is into smoking, and various other things.

It won't magically make you able to communicate with everyone, of course, but it is one small way to help break down the language barriers.
